Alberta Government Water for Life Report
The Water for Life report was commissioned by Alberta Environment and prepared by AMEC Earth & Environmental to begin to answer some of the fundamental underlying questions raised in Water for Life. It is a large document (37 megabytes) and will take several minutes to open, depending on your connection speed.
WID Stormwater Guidelines
This document is a draft copy of the WID Stormwater Guidelines. It is meant for distribution to municipalities and developers to guide future development that may impact the Western Irrigation District irrigation canal system. It presents a framework for stormwater policies aimed at new urban developments that require stormwater access to the WID canal system.

Alberta Irrigation Efficiency Program
WID is pleased to inform our irrigation users that AARD has announced a grant program for conversion of wheel move to pivot or high pressure to low pressure conversions of existing systems. The program will fund up to 40% of the cost to convert, up to a maximum of $4000.00 per user. Click on the link provided for more information and to find the application for the program. The funds are available until 2011 and total $200,000 in each year. Applications for 2008 funding must be received by March 27th, 2009 to beconsidered.
